Winter fly fishing techniques. What? Flyfishing in winter? Are you crazy? Many fly fishermen put away their gear in the winter reading magazines and use, tying flies, or watch football. But imagine a calm river, with beautiful scenery, solitude, and often the big fish. Leave your feeds favorite for trout or a river in the winter can be very productive if they apply some simple techniques and are willing to adapt to climate change.

How to keep warm. Layers, layers and more layers. You will need to layer clothing underneath your waders. Use 2 or 3 pairs of socks. Make sure your boots and waders are waterproof. Boots leak or boots are a recipe for disaster when wading in cold water. Wear boots are one or two sizes larger than normally used to make room for the extra layer of socks. The key is to ensure none of their clothing or gear is strong.
